This is probably my favorite shoot I’ve done of Trent. We wanted to do a surveillance-themed photo shoot that felt like it could be from the world of Year Zero. We spent an afternoon driving around a weathered neighborhood in London, stopping at interesting spots. No budget, no crew, no lights… turned out great.
There are more, I’ll post a second set tomorrow.

Trent Reznor Announces the Return of Nine Inch Nails: Extensive Touring for 2013 and 2014 ]

Nine Inch Nails are touring this year.
I was working with Adrian Belew on some musical ideas, which led to some discussion on performing, which led to some beard-scratching, which (many steps later) led to the decision to re-think the idea of what Nine Inch Nails could be, and the idea of playing a show. Calls were made to some friends, lots of new ideas were discussed, and a show was booked - which led to another, which somehow led to a lot of shows.
The band is reinventing itself from scratch and will be comprised of Eric Avery, Adrian Belew, Alessandro Cortini, Josh Eustis, Ilan Rubin, and me. The first shows will begin this summer, followed by a full-on arena tour of the US this fall, and lots of other dates worldwide to follow through 2014.

Nine Inch Nails | Pinion / Terrible Lie (live @ Woodstock 1994)
Ich bemitleide jeden NIN-Fan, der 1994 zu jung/nichtexistent war, diese Bandbesetzung live zu erleben - die Erinnerung an das Münchner Konzert vor kleinem Publikum beschert mir jetzt noch Gänsefell und Adrenalinschübe! Erste Reihe Mitte, Ekstase, blaue Flecken von oben bis unten, egal, anhaltende Glücksgefühle. Bis heute hat es keine andere Band geschafft, mich live dermaßen nachhaltig strubbelig zu machen. Hoffentlich wird die Live-Abstinenz des Herrn Reznor nicht dauerhaft sein, die alte Frau hier hätte gern nochmal Nachschlag. Das “Abschiedskonzert” in Berlin 2009 war mir Beweis genug, dass NIN noch immer das Adrenalin zum Fließen bringen können wie niemand sonst!
